Scottish mackerel tinned by Sound Seafood, the fifth-generation Plymouth fishing family. The fish is caught in autumn when its oil content peaks, which is when mackerel is worth tinning, and packed in olive oil from the MSC certified fishery. Firm, rich and ready to eat: fork it through a potato salad, mash it with lemon and pepper for a two-minute pate or eat it on toast. 125g.
