Apulpeira Octopus 450g

Cooked Galician octopus from A Pulpeira of O Carballino, the Ourense town famous for its pulpeiros, where the firm continues a family octopus trade more than a century old. The octopus is vacuum-packed raw then steam-cooked at low temperature in its own juice, with no water and no additives, so the pack holds the cooking juices too. Slice it over warm potatoes with olive oil, sea salt and paprika for pulpo a feira, or sear it briefly for colour. About 450g.
