Capers are the pickled flower buds of the caper bush, and capote is the trade name for the larger grade. These come from Opies, the Kent family firm founded in 1880, packed simply in spirit vinegar with salt. Larger capers chop well, which makes this the jar for homemade tartare sauce, skate with brown butter and capers or a caper and parsley dressing for grilled fish. 180g jar.
